Georgia, our English bulldog, would like to tell you a thing or two about being an English bulldog and how to be a better parent to an English bulldog.

Well, since my picture is all over Facebook, Twitter, and this website, I really don’t feel the need to introduce myself, but I will. My name is Georgia and I’m a 2-year-old English bulldog. Ok, ok… before you get mad at Windy, I’m not really 2. ALL females love to lie about their age.

There’s some perks about being a pet but mostly it just sucks. Yeah, we’re taken care of but we’re also treated like Rain Man- like we’re too stupid to know what’s going on. Our intelligence is insulted repeatedly and I get tired of it. My human sisters are applauded for their intelligence and they do stupid stuff all of the time. For example, my 8-year-old human sister makes all A’s on her report card and “they” brag on her like she’s freaking Einstein… I mean, COME ON, she’s EIGHT! Shouldn’t she make freaking A’s on her report card? They aren’t asking her to perform brain surgery at school, just count to 300 by 10′s. This kid, God bless her, doesn’t even know her own address. I, on the other hand, am smart enough to wear my address on a convenient little tag on my collar. It’s that simple. Get the kid a collar.

Something else that gripes my furry butt is the fact that they always ask me stupid questions. I sit by the door to let them know I need to go to the ladies room and then they say, “Does my sweet ‘wittle’ girl need to go potty?”. No Sherlock, I’m sitting here because I like how cold the tile feels on my rear. The same thing happens at mealtime. They are always asking if I’m hungry. Duh, my freaking bowl is empty and I stare at it and then look at you, stare at it and then look at you, but no, I’m not hungry- I have schizophrenia. (Not being able to talk really sucks. On second thought, if I were able to talk, the string of profanities that would come out of this beautiful mouth would probably get me two or ten doses of Dawn dish detergent. Maybe its better that I can’t talk.)

When my Daddy comes home, he talks like my drunk uncle to me AND ONLY ME. He slurs his words and acts the fool. He thinks he’s cute but it’s extremely annoying. No one likes their drunk uncle. No one likes someone who’s PRETENDING to be their drunk uncle. He’s also always calling me “that bulldog”. “That bulldog better not get her daddy’s toy”, “that bulldog better not bite her daddy’s leg”, “that ol’ bulldog better not hit her daddy in his privates with her big, humongous bulldog paw” (take that Drunk Uncle Daddy).

My dad always wants to get mad at me for staring at his food when he’s trying to eat. He says I can burn a hole in his plate with my eyes (I always knew my eyes were hypnotic, but not dangerous). When a show he likes comes on (God forbid he miss Swamp People or Gold Rush), he takes his plate of delicious food and sits in the living room. He then proceeds to put the delicious food on the coffee table- THE LOWEST TABLE IN THE WHOLE FREAKING HOUSE. It’s the ONLY table I can see over, mind you. Then he acts like I’m not supposed to look at it. See, me not looking at his food would be the equivalent of taking him to a strip club and telling him not to look at (or drool over) the strippers- not gonna happen. It’s in our genes. It’s like telling the sun not to rise or the moon not to shine. It’s NATURE. We like food- our food, your food, good food, bad food- we like it all.

Well, I’m tired of writing this blog. If you don’t learn anything else from reading this blog, know this:
1. Don’t talk like Drunk Uncle Daddy.
2. Your bulldog is smarter than your kids.
3. Get your kids a collar.
4. Bulldogs would curse if they could speak.
5. You’re a terrible person if you don’t share ALL of your food with your bulldog. Feed them with your fork.
6. Bulldogs are the only creature that can hit a man in his privates and the man think it was an accident.

Top 10 Reasons YOU should own an English Bulldog

10.  If you can sleep through an English bulldog snoring, you could sleep through an F5 tornado scooping up your bed and throwing you to the next state, which, in turn, makes YOU pretty freaking awesome.

9.   Bulldog slobber was the secret ingredient to the green slime from Nickelodeon’s show Double Dare.  Without English bulldogs the late 80’s wouldn’t have been the same.

8.   You don’t need a Roomba.  Bulldogs clean up food crumbs better than any vacuum.  Take that Dyson!

7.   No matter how ugly your bulldog is it’s still prettier than most babies are.

6.  They have the ability to ignore you more than a 90-year-old man with his hearing aid turned ALL the way down.

5.  They can scare the pants off of the mailman but don’t have the ability to out run him, even if he’s a 400 pound asthmatic.

4.  They snuggle better than a koala on valium.  (Thanks Christine!)

3.  They don’t have self-esteem issues.  Even when they’re 20 pounds overweight, they think they have the figure of a Chihuahua.

2.  Their flatulence is recognized by 46 countries as a nuclear weapon.

1.   You’ll love them more than your human kids- even when they pass gas, snore, and have an attitude.

Windy and Jason care so much about the breed and their puppies.  We felt like we were involved and right there with every step of the process, from the late night texts about Georgia going into labor to all the pictures we got of the puppies.  Chloe is such a wonderful dog!!! She is the most well-adjusted English bulldog puppy that I have ever come across.  Everyone says the same thing that meets her.  She is such a joy and a beloved member of our family.  We highly recommend Georgia’s Bully Babies to anyone considering getting an English bulldog puppy to add to their family.  Windy, Jason, and their wonderful family are truly a blessing in our lives.  We couldn’t have asked for a better puppy!  Chloe is not only gorgeous, but has the best personality!!!  We are so thankful we found them and know that other people will feel the exact same way if they purchase a fur baby through them.

I feel truly blessed that we found you. We had made many phone calls and inquires to other breeders all over the country and never once felt comfortable with any of them. From the very first time my husband got you on the phone and spoke with you – he said our search was over. We found our breeder!  We committed to our future baby before Georgia was even officially pregnant. We just knew it was meant to be! It was such a relief to finally find someone that actually cared about breeding healthy and happy English Bulldog pups in a loving FAMILY environment!!

Windy, I just loved getting the text updates and photos from you throughout the entire first 8 weeks of Scarlett’s life. You were always there any time of the day to answer any questions, send cute pics and give us fun updates on our beautiful little wrinkly bundle of joy. The puppy cam became part of our family and friends daily routines. We could not rush home from work quick enough to see what the pups were up to! In retrospect, I should have just cancelled my cable that month because we spent more time watching the pup cam than we did TV

Thank you so much Windy. Not only did I get the most perfect fur baby for our little family but I gained a wonderful friend too.

Munson finished his last round of shots yesterday and is at 28 lbs.  The vet was really impressed with his build and said he looked like he was going to be a big bully.  He was also impressed with his breathing.  Said he could detect no breathing problems at all, which was really unusual because with the bulldog breed you could almost always pick up on hints of breathing issues with the pups.  He also said that his coat was very nice and had no skin problems.  He went over him very good yesterday, I think he was looking for a fault with him but couldn’t find one.  He said he was one of the best bulldogs that he had seen in a while.

Munson is doing really well.  He is really smart, but you can tell he is just as stubborn when he wants to be.  Four more weeks of puppy school before he moves into the next stage of lessons.  I don’t know how many people have stopped us and wanted to know where we got him from.  The common comment with everyone is how good he looks.  And I always try to let them know how healthy he is.

We’ve attached some update photos (16 weeks) that were taken yesterday for you.  Just wanted to drop you a line and keep you up to date, and hope you and your family are doing well.  If there’s anything we can do for you, please let us know.

How are you and your family? Lola is doing great! OMG- that girl has so much personality! She loves meeting new people and loves when we take her out. We took her to River Street (in Savannah) last weekend to Tubby’s Restaurant  and she loved it! They even gave her a bowl of water! People there stopped by to meet her and to even take pictures with her!   She thinks she’s a celebrity!  I always mention that we got her from Georgia’s Bully Babies when they ask where I got her.  It’s so funny because when we were walking back to the car, someone yelled out, “Oh there’s Lola!”, LOL!  She’s famous!

She weighed 28.8 lbs at her last vet visit so she’s my little chubby girl but she’s so smart! When I ask, “Where’s Daddy?”, she runs around the house looking for Adrian. It’s so cute!  She does the same when I ask where she left her toy.  She will look for it, find it, and bring it to me so I can play with her. We just love her so much and she’s spoiled rotten!  Thanks for everything!

Thank you so much for Harley! She is an absolute joy! She is 11 weeks old and went to the vet for shots yesterday for shots. She is 10.8 lbs and the vet said she is PERFECT! The vet carried her around the office and refused to put her down. With some coaxing, she finally passed her off to the rest of the office staff.   They fell in love with her- and who can blame them? She has gorgeous markings and the best personality! She is so smart and learned to sit after one day of training.  You have done a FABULOUS job with Harley!  We cannot thank you enough!  You have been wonderful since the 1st day we contacted you.  You answered every question that we’ve had (and we had a lot).  Thank you for your hard work and all of the sleepless nights.you put into making Harley such a beautiful and perfect baby. We hope you keep breeding beautiful bully babies for years to come.

Greetings from me and the King.  I just want to thank you for the most beautiful and wonderful bulldog ever.  He is the man.  Harold has been adventuring, visiting his adoring public around the apartment complex, and even visiting my coworkers.  One lady who works with me has a bulldog as well so we have planned a playdate for Harold and “Tater” her dog.  Everyone thinks Harold is beautiful, handsome, manly, and fantastic and he proudly swaggers everywhere he goes making sure to stop at the porch of each person in the apartment complex that he knows comes out and pets him.  I have attached some pictures from his adventurings with the following captions:

1.       Harold playing with his favorite “toy” a plastic solo cup (in close contest with rocks he picks up outside that I have to keep him from swallowing).  Forget all of the toys I have bought for him.

2.       Harold sitting in the chair with me, looking totally cute as usual.

3.       Harold barking at me because I am packing his bag with water for a hiking outing.  We go hiking most Saturdays and he is now up to being able to do about 1.5 miles if he can get in the creek and I pack him a jug of ice water for his breaks.  He LOVES it.  He has met a pack of boy scouts, tons of random people, and even a ferret.

4.       Harold checking out the creek on a hike.  This is perfect for him, just about belly deep but no swimming required and good and cool and clear.

5.       Harold watching Bulldog football.  I tried to show him Uga on the screen but he was not impressed apparently.

I take tons of pictures of him and post them on my facebook for his followers.  If everyone in my neighborhood has a bulldog in the next few years, you will know why.  He has been doing his breed proud!  I couldn’t be happier with him.  I am trying to raise him right and he is turning into a most respectable citizen, though I wouldn’t say we always agree!  Thank you again for such a wonderful son!
